Profesor: Dr.Natalio Krasnogor Home Page
Natalio Krasnogor is a Lecturer within the ASAP group at the University of Nottingham. He has established and co-chairs the series of international Workshop on Memetic Algorithms (WOMA). He is the holder of a US patent for an Internet related technology. Dr Krasnogor has published more than 50 refereed papers. He was a guest editor of a special issue of Evolutionary Computation (MIT Press) dedicated to Memetic Algorithms, is co-editor of a book on this topic. He was guest editor of a special issue of the Journal of Fuzzy Sets and Systems dedicated to Bioinformatics that appeared in 2004, he is guest editor of a special issue on memetic algorithms in the IEEE Transactions on Systems Man and Cybernetics and also guest editor of a forthcoming special issue on the applications of membrane computing to systems biology. He is a member of the editorial board of the Evolutionary Computation journal and the journal of Memetics and Evolutionary Models of Information Transmission. He is a committee member of the Society for the Study of Artificial Intelligence and the Simulation of Behaviour.
He is a Principal Investigator on 2 EPSRC grants and 1 BBSRC grant totalling in excess of 350K. He is also a co-investigator on more than 9 EPSRC research grants totalling over 2.5M and he is investigator in two significant EU bioinformatic related grants (Biopaterns and Bioptrain). He is editor of the forthccoming book Systems Self-Assembly: Multidisciplinary Snapshots to be published by Elsevier in their Studies in Multidisciplinarity series. Krasnogor is a member of the EPSRC peer review college.
